I finished writing this poem on July 21, the Thursday of the Grace Chapel Meeting.

The Meeting
The large assemblage eagerly await
The preacher who will soon Scripture relate.
All kinds of people-what reason have they
For coming to this place to give God praise?
With anticipation, prayer, and song
They meet for to worship all the day long.
"What means this madness, these actions, this life?"
Wonders those not accustomed to the sight.
"To hear Christ preached and to worship His name!"
Cry those in attendance this glad refrain.
"Sinners are we, but cleansed by His blood.
He washed our transgressions all like a flood."
The preacher rises and speaks to the crowd.
With power he proclaims Scriptures aloud.
The saints in the pew now begin to weep.
The wondrous love of Jesus, O, how deep!
After the meeting, the saints all depart
With joy and thanksgiving in every heart.

Wow...how true! People on the outside wondering what all the fuss is about, and those on the inside giving all the praise to God...how awesome! I'm impressed! :)

Seth, your poem is excellent. The writing as well as the meaning.
